Avalon Timber Frame Homes specialises in the design and construction of timber frame buildings, using Scandinavian closed panel technology, American post and beam methods or a combination of the two. We operate throughout the U.K, Southern Ireland and the Continent. Although our offices and factory are in mid Devon, we take our inspiration from Swedish construction principles and build quality. We do not however believe that because you have decided to build a Swedish quality home that it has to look as if it should be located on a mountainside in Sweden!

The majority of our clients are individuals who are building their own homes. They want to live in a home that fulfils their exact requirements, both in overall appearance, as well as in room sizes and layout. For this reason we do not have any standard designs, each of our projects is a one-off; and with each new client we start with a blank canvas. We are there to offer advice and make suggestions, but never to impose, in that way you will be leading the design process and it will be truly your home.

Avalon Timber Frame Homes’ expert knowledge of products, coupled with our expertise in engineering and construction allows us to build homes that others can only dream of, we do not set limits on our clients and so the result is often homes that are innovative and striking.

To achieve a quality home requires not only good design but also first-rate components. That is why we use Swedish triple glazing and Swedish internal joinery. We also insulate our frames to Swedish standards, which means that our clients will be living in thermally highly efficient homes that are kind on the pocket as well as the environment.
